		<section id="H5837C5C10B5F49F5BB0886F11454F34D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as—</text>
			<paragraph id="H41E1D71349DF462386D1097D51463D67"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the
			 <quote><short-title>People Resolved to Obtain an
			 Understanding of Democracy Act</short-title></quote>; or</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H4FDB8F66CBC74E24980B75D750E3F7AE"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the <quote><short-title>P.R.O.U.D. Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H371E877E0AD8494081FC9402072C1C64"><enum>2.</enum><header>Naturalization
			 for certain U.S. high school graduates</header>
			<subsection id="H59BE049F123C46238454C0EBDCB1DD6A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Title III of the
			 Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1401 et seq.) is amended by inserting
			 after section 320 the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H79CB242784564BC8915360DFB788256B" style="OLC">
					<section id="HDE6254B6AE3947C0943701BC8E854C80"><enum>321.</enum><header>Citizenship for
				certain U.S. high school graduates</header>
						<subsection id="H4FDAE3D035E14FF9A91F8D7C0F13AB0F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Requirements
				deemed satisfied</header><text>In the case of an alien described in subsection
				(b), the alien shall be deemed to have satisfied the requirements of—</text>
							<paragraph id="H0C64429F40BC4DE1B5FA4FBB8E2DD7CA"><enum>(1)</enum><text>section 312(a);
				and</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="HE7AA1E6F4D1043BABEFA5F892CE07521"><enum>(2)</enum><text>section 316(a), if
				the alien sustains the burden of establishing that the alien has been a person
				of good moral character during the 6-year period preceding the date on which
				the alien submits the application described in subsection (c).</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H23E8F10808284721A2D0E71A66D7F7A8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Provisions
				waived</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In the case of an
				alien described in subsection (b), the alien shall be eligible for
				naturalization under this title without regard to the following
				provisions:</text>
							<paragraph id="H5AED9868DAFC49138E3AAF657F8CB42D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Section
				318.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="HDFC6C842659B42C7AE4DDE7E91725326"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The second
				sentence of section 334(b).</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HF6C33BBE95294D8688E056D27393C022"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Aliens
				described</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An alien is
				described in this subsection if the alien is under 25 years of age on the date
				on which the alien submits an application for naturalization under section 334
				that contains the following:</text>
							<paragraph id="HFC22E2EA3ECE4E01829B22DFD506BB2D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Transcripts from
				public or private schools in the United States that demonstrate the
				following:</text>
								<subparagraph id="H0E1E41D1AB9C4715B6AEF51051720A7F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The alien
				completed grades 6 through 12 in the United States and was graduated with a
				high school diploma.</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H00B18F773C0C46FBA47ACA3553D7D20B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>The alien
				completed a curriculum that reflects knowledge of United States history,
				Government, and civics.</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HB70E0A67BB684C2A8BC4F0BC5A8EFD46"><enum>(2)</enum><text>A copy of the
				alien’s high school diploma.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H9FF04CDCAE514BDA84A09CDE253D52C9"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Reduced
				fee</header><text>The Secretary of Homeland Security shall reduce the
				naturalization application fee for an alien described in subsection (b) by 50
				percent.</text>
						</subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H753B6FC3D1E84CCE8BE0DBE013303AEF"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical
			 amendment</header><text>The table of contents for the Immigration and
			 Nationality Act is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 320
			 the following:</text>

					<toc regeneration="no-regeneration">
						<toc-entry level="section">Sec. 321. Citizenship for certain U.S.
				high school
				graduates.</toc-entry>
					</toc>
					<after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7C49BF9DA1AF4E22BE53BDD763BB5FFC"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text>The
			 amendments made by this Act shall take effect on the date of the enactment of
			 this Act and shall apply to applicants for naturalization who apply for
			 naturalization on or after such date.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H278A7C4D2F114EBF9B33D764497E91AC"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The
			 Secretary of Homeland Security shall promulgate regulations to carry out this
			 Act and the amendments made by this Act not later than 180 days after the date
			 of the enactment of this Act.</text>
