		<official-title>To amend the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
		  to prohibit automobile manufacturers receiving assistance under the Troubled
		  Asset Relief Program from opening a new foreign subsidiary or expanding their
		  current foreign subsidiaries.</official-title>

		<section id="H7AF39AAE862D458F939CE86FBDBC1CC9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on automobile
			 manufacturer expansion of new or current foreign subsidiaries</header>
			<subsection id="H2AB1680BA8F14207AA6C09A99D750432"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Title I of the
			 Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 is amended by adding at the end
			 the following new section:</text>

					<section id="HECA394900F3D4FE0A49C873608C6B5FB"><enum>137.</enum><header>Prohibition on
				automobile manufacturer expansion of new or current foreign
				subsidiaries</header>
						<subsection id="H6557B0FA17D0473497A644E21D6A9AF5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective as of the
				date of the enactment of this section, no automotive TARP recipient may open a
				new foreign subsidiary or expand any current foreign subsidiary.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="HD1685D36627D4ECAB1B39CE797C262CC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Automotive TARP
				recipient defined</header><text>For purposes of this section, the term
				<term>automotive TARP recipient</term> means any automobile manufacturer that
				has received assistance under this title and that has not fully repaid such
				assistance.</text>
						</subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H3CC253103E1640F1B2653E3300991C22"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendment</header><text>The table of contents for such Act is amended by
			 inserting after the item relating to section 136 the following new item:</text>
