		<official-title>To direct the Secretary of the Interior to study the
		  suitability and feasibility of designating certain lands along the northern
		  coast of Maui, Hawaii, as a unit of the National Park System.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA4AC674071A84BDFAF952BB8257109D7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>North Maui coastal
			 study</header>
			<subsection id="HC67917FCF3D845D698833072FFB6CCF3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text>This section may be cited as the <quote><short-title>North Maui Coastal Preservation Act of
			 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H664C8F2C53194802B7024DD58C54D006"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Study</header>
				<paragraph id="H8F5C2048AACE4043A9BA19F336E406B"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior shall complete a study to
			 determine the suitability and feasibility of designating certain lands located
			 on the northern coast of Maui, Hawaii, as a National Seashore, National
			 Historical Park, National Recreation Area, National Monument, National
			 Preserve, or other unit of the National Park System.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H81AB8D5E88F54F499B4F6F501E539200"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Study
			 area</header><text>The study area shall include the following parcels:</text>
					<subparagraph id="H6360B4A48E1149A9A5B4A8FE8561CB9B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Property 1,
			 approximately 43 acres (TMK II 3–8–01, parcel 72) stretching from Kelaakai
			 Place in Sprecklesville to the western boundary of H.P. Baldwin Beach Park Road
			 in Paia, and includes natural sand dunes, coastal beaches, and wetlands.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H3E9DD13E313F4A5BA790CF59353D85F"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Property 2,
			 approximately 17 acres known as H.P. Baldwin Park comprises TMK II 2–5–05,
			 parcel 47 (4.6 acres) and parcel 46 (12.5 acres).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7EC2CD2DEA7A48728529CCCFD47139D"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Property 3,
			 approximately 4.5 acres of coastal lands stretching from the eastern border of
			 H.P. Baldwin Park to the Maui Youth and Cultural Center known as TMK II 2–6–01,
			 parcel 1 (3.517 acres) and parcel 4 (1.08 acres).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H62C07FB5CBE14A53AC5B5279958C3314"><enum>(D)</enum><text>Property 4,
			 approximately 32 acres known as TMK II 2–5–05; parcel 17.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0668188C6E47480800C0F9D200EE850"><enum>(E)</enum><text>Property 5,
			 approximately 5.7 acres known as Lime Kiln Beach (TMK II 2–5–05, parcel
			 14).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H47B7B83C3FAD4819A72000614B7DD033"><enum>(F)</enum><text>Property 6,
			 approximately 26 acres known as Stable Road Beach (TMK II 3–8–01, parcel
			 3).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H63376F2CB58D440481622C34776E85A"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Applicability of
			 Other Law</header><text>Paragraphs (2) and (3) of section 8(c) of Public Law
			 91–383 (16 U.S.C. 1a–5(c)(2) and (3); commonly known as the National Park
			 System General Authorities Act) shall apply to the study.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HFCA09BB7490343A0979ED81F05E145F0"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not
			 later than 18 months after funds are made available for this section, the
			 Secretary of the Interior shall transmit to the Committee on Natural Resources
			 of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural
			 Resources of the Senate a report containing the conclusions of the study
			 required by subsection (b).</text>
