		<section id="HCC5914DC0A8A422EBFB1E67D534B171F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Anti-Gang Task Force Act of
			 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE1829E3DF39944D2B75C67B6A6042093" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Assistance for
			 multi-jurisdictional anti-gang task forces</header>
			<subsection id="HA8F6EE3B0668468182967E75C29229B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Attorney General, in consultation with appropriate
			 State and local officials, shall—</text>
				<paragraph id="HD5E94CE7FC0E440B9C91CC00C22800DC"><enum>(1)</enum><text>establish
			 anti-gang task forces, consisting of Federal, State, and local law enforcement
			 authorities, for the coordinated investigation, disruption, apprehension, and
			 prosecution of criminal gangs and offenders;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H313CBC5B0AF749C59FE4789BC1910250"><enum>(2)</enum><text>direct the
			 reassignment or detailing from any Federal department or agency (subject to the
			 approval of the head of that department or agency, in the case of a department
			 or agency other than the Department of Justice) of personnel to each task
			 force;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HCB05774669534241B38F8734BBE5C00"><enum>(3)</enum><text>provide all
			 necessary funding for the operation of the task force; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H0768A161B3584D9CA8BC0D721F76BBB"><enum>(4)</enum><text>provide all
			 necessary funding for national and regional meetings of task forces, and all
			 other related organizations, as needed, to ensure effective operation of such
			 teams through the sharing of intelligence, best practices and for any other
			 related purpose.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H5EEF5D4533834175ABAB94CB387927A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Membership</header><text>The
			 task forces shall consist of agents and officers, where feasible, from—</text>
				<paragraph id="HAC8A8836DCF34CF48371F6A6DA909534"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Federal Bureau
			 of Investigation;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H6C9D14FC339E47C68841944188F7C047"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the Drug
			 Enforcement Administration;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9D0EF3C3DFEB4F388D47BADDD5033944"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the Bureau of
			 Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HC1C6CD4002454534BC96CB3776542046"><enum>(4)</enum><text>the United States
			 Marshals Service;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H21E182F1CD034FB2A4FB0028C6AEBD37"><enum>(5)</enum><text>the Directorate of
			 Border and Transportation Security of the Department of Homeland
			 Security;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H816983853C6745639ED119EDC4AF0600"><enum>(6)</enum><text>the Department of
			 Housing and Urban Development;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9578628176B542698D89012B07255487"><enum>(7)</enum><text>State and local
			 law enforcement; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H79293FF82AF84477B465893BB874CA18"><enum>(8)</enum><text>Federal, State,
			 and local prosecutors.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HBFA53C31BE114A84BA2CA508276006C0"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of
			 Appropriations</header><text>There are authorized to be appropriated
			 $20,000,000 for each of the fiscal years 2009 through 2012 to carry out this
			 section.</text>
