		<section id="HDDF83BAC720D41F7B52EA72BF74540F6" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Truth in Fur Labeling Act of
			 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H7BF1FA9E86574BFFBBDAEEFC3E514273"><enum>2.</enum><header>Elimination of
			 exemption to fur product labeling requirements for products containing
			 relatively small quantities or values of fur</header>
			<subsection id="H3DF7A0AEE6514520898E1B6F6A84DC60"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text>Section 2(d) of the Fur Products Labeling Act (15 U.S.C.
			 69(d)) is amended by striking <quote>; except that</quote> and all that follows
			 through <quote>contained therein</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H15234D05F34443F0B28E73418663D3D9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 Date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on
			 the date that is 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HA1362E6C4001492EA472E37C017B0487"><enum>3.</enum><header>Federal trade
			 commission review of fur products name guide</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 90 days after the date of the
			 enactment of this Act, the Federal Trade Commission shall publish in the
			 Federal Register notice of, and an opportunity to comment on, a review of the
			 Fur Products Name Guide (16 C.F.R. 301.0).</text>
		</section><section id="H04B8A0704D084880B03A5ED46F302E69"><enum>4.</enum><header>State authority
			 to regulate labeling of fur products</header>
			<subsection id="H56284529687F4238B7951514FCDF1988"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text>Section 12 of the Fur Products Labeling Act (15 U.S.C.
			 69(j)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H26098A5A41D84A93BA9FFB3829191D18"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>The provisions of</quote> and inserting <quote>(a) The provisions
			 of</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H5FD5CD62BF744D6AAB98944C6588AA15"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
					<quoted-block id="H0437A39B302E47F0A4CA45F80980E884" style="OLC">
						<subsection id="H6FBB6E1BFAC54341AEA5DAF464DFAAE5"><enum>(b)</enum><text>Nothing in this
				Act shall preclude or deny any right of any State or political subdivision
				thereof to adopt or enforce any provision of State or local law that provides
				more restrictive labeling requirements for fur products than what is provided
				for in this
				Act.</text>
						</subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HCE5A3AF16C38406D849F68FDF65983EA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 Date</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on
			 the date that is 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
