		<official-title>To amend the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008
		  to require that repayments of assistance from the Troubled Asset Relief Program
		  funds go to paying down the public debt.</official-title>

		<section id="HCD85D234B2BE4725810AF6DF92760C1D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>TARP repayments used to
			 reduce public debt</header>
			<subsection id="H5BB92B069FFF475BB5053428367888C6"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Title I of the
			 Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (12 U.S.C. 5201 et seq.) is
			 amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text>

					<section id="HE1E82342937C4597BD7CD220E52C27C8"><enum>137.</enum><header>TARP repayments
				used to reduce public debt</header>
						<subsection id="HBFA3A49D3D914EB6BDFC9AEF9AAF6C1C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Repayments used
				To pay down public debt</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Each
				time a financial institution makes a repayment of assistance provided under
				this title, the Secretary shall transfer such repayment to the special account
				established by section 3113(d) of title 31, United States Code.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="H5EC7B0D156B7428998321EF9E0F96311"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Corresponding
				reduction in authorization To purchase</header><text>Each time a financial
				institution makes a repayment of assistance provided under this title, the
				authorization to purchase authority under section 115 shall be reduced by a
				corresponding dollar
				amount.</text>
						</subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC5CF58A23DB5447CBB3DA36EB4EFBF6C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendment</header><text>The table of contents for such Act is amended by
			 inserting after the item relating to section 136 the following new item:</text>
