		<section id="H464E5A6720E54F53A0A3E93EE749986" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Money Laundering Correction Act of
			 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HE3AA38205B2548E4806367F89C0033CF" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Response to Cuellar
			 case</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1956(a)(2)(B) of
			 title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H62E4B1EBFAF24DE88713D54C9F659AEF"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>is designed in whole or in part</quote>;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HB3DF364B3C3342E2831B0885A154BB4B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in clause (i), by
			 striking <quote>to conceal or disguise</quote> and inserting <quote>conceals or
			 disguises</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H9C4D3B3D4D9E4B588061C1E892F7B583"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in clause (ii), by
			 striking <quote>to avoid</quote> and inserting <quote>avoids</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H6ED0DACC0D3C4D72912D1CFF0038FA11"><enum>3.</enum><header>Response to
			 Santos case</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1956(c) of
			 title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H383BFED55F254429818B17D9D2BE558B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking the
			 period at the end of paragraph (8) and inserting <quote>; and</quote></text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HB0A62994A9CD4EF600569784D058B134"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H7D86CB489EFE495FA64FCA24B4A0768D" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H2591849227494F629068F4519589B05"><enum>(9)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the term “proceeds” means any property
				derived from or obtained or retained, directly or indirectly, through the
				commission of a specified unlawful activity, including the gross proceeds of
				that specified unlawful
				activity.</text>
