<section id="H562DDDDEED4543B9BB6465A16CB7007B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Housing Opportunities Made Easier Act</short-title></quote> or the <quote><short-title>HOME Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H89FDEB76D9854886BA691C65F410E2F5"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increase in incremental section 8 rental assistance vouchers</header> 
<subsection id="H5FF523B5A2D744FB9DB887A1D645374B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Provision of incremental vouchers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject only to the appropriation of sufficient amounts pursuant to subsection (b), in fiscal year 2009 the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development shall provide to public housing agencies tenant-based rental housing assistance under section 8(o) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 (42 U.S.C. 1437f(o)) for 150,000 incremental vouchers, and shall renew such vouchers in each fiscal year thereafter.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HC239B3C0593F48B6A64407CB4EB8EBA7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>There are authorized to be appropriated—</text> 
<paragraph id="HBFA79BFFF9624351BCAA389801001FA0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>for fiscal year 2009, such sums as may be necessary to provide the incremental vouchers described in subsection (a); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3BCBBD7802C64171B24900F65000EF83"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in each fiscal year thereafter, such sums as may be necessary to renew the vouchers described in subsection (a) for that year.</text></paragraph><continuation-text continuation-text-level="subsection">Any amounts appropriated pursuant to this subsection shall remain available until expended.</continuation-text></subsection></section>
