		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to prohibit the
		  Secretary of Veterans Affairs from collecting certain copayments from veterans
		  who are catastrophically disabled.</official-title>

		<section id="H697F529C1441437590AC9EDB9C983766" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on collection of
			 certain copayments from veterans who are catastrophically disabled</header>
			<subsection id="H03AAE20FBB1847FCB909F9586D60AF2E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition on
			 collection of copayments and other fees for hospital or nursing home
			 care</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1710 of title
			 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HCE0CA65679D54DFABD14BFBCBE3C24"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by
			 redesignating subsection (h) as subsection (i); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H28E784E756C0460A8DD2D85FDE70E167"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 subsection (g) the following new subsection (h):</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF924B6A3856D4001927B132461673122" style="OLC">
						<subsection id="H9F31543889A742CD880015E2C100B06E"><enum>(h)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of this
				section, a veteran who is catastrophically disabled shall not be required to
				make any payment otherwise required under subsection (f) or (g) for the receipt
				of hospital care or nursing home care under this
				section.</text>
						</subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H2650FB78820F42F4BAECA714DA00A41D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>Subsection (h) of section 1710 of title 38, United States
			 Code, as added by subsection (a), shall apply with respect to hospital care or
			 nursing home care provided after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
