		<section id="H9CD4CE4AD2DD4F3184E356386E484F4F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Requirements for sponsor's
			 affidavit of support</header>
			<subsection id="id539218C18FB9479F9018BFCFBF14FE23"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Maintenance of
			 annual income</header><text>Section 213A(a)(1)(A) of the Immigration and
			 Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1183a(a)(1)(A)) is amended by striking <quote>125
			 percent of the Federal poverty line</quote> and inserting <quote>300 percent of
			 the Federal poverty line (or in cases where the sponsored alien is the spouse
			 or a child of the sponsor, not less than 200 percent of the Federal poverty
			 line)</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="idF4802B0B71F643ABB9643716A4C6A56A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Sponsor
			 defined</header>
				<paragraph id="id7C2BD9D6FD084E7DBD8A90A248DAAB9C"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Section 213A(f)(1)(E) of the Immigration and Nationality
			 Act (8 U.S.C. 1183a(f)(1)(E)) is amended by striking <quote>125 percent of the
			 Federal poverty line</quote> and inserting <quote>300 percent of the Federal
			 poverty line (or in cases where the sponsored alien is the spouse or a child of
			 the individual, at least 200 percent of the Federal poverty
			 line)</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idC5F70ADEA60A43C2AC2BA4EAF055258A"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Certain
			 employment-based immigrants cases</header><text>Section 213A(f)(4)(B)(i) of the
			 Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1183a(f)(4)(B)(i)) is amended by
			 striking <quote>125 percent of the Federal poverty line</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>300 percent of the Federal poverty line (or in cases where the sponsored
			 alien is the spouse or a child of the individual, at least 200 percent of the
			 Federal poverty line)</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idA18A92E130294B178BF28EE373A189A8"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Non-petitioning
			 cases</header><text>Section 213A(f)(5)(A) of the Immigration and Nationality
			 Act (8 U.S.C. 1183a(f)(5)(A)) is amended by striking <quote>125 percent of the
			 Federal poverty line</quote> and inserting <quote>300 percent of the Federal
			 poverty line (or in cases where the sponsored alien is the spouse or a child of
			 the individual, at least 200 percent of the Federal poverty
			 line)</quote>.</text>
