		<official-title display="yes">Supporting the goals and ideals of
		  <quote>National Life Insurance Awareness Month</quote>. </official-title>

	<preamble>
		<whereas><text>Whereas life insurance is an essential part of a sound
			 financial plan;</text>
		</whereas><whereas><text>Whereas life insurance provides financial security for
			 families by helping surviving members meet immediate and long-term financial
			 obligations and objectives in the event of a premature death in their
			 family;</text>
		</whereas><whereas><text>Whereas approximately 68,000,000 United States citizens
			 lack the adequate level of life insurance coverage needed to ensure a secure
			 financial future for their loved ones;</text>
		</whereas><whereas><text>Whereas life insurance products protect against the
			 uncertainties of life by enabling individuals and families to manage the
			 financial risks of premature death, disability, and long-term care;</text>
		</whereas><whereas><text>Whereas individuals, families, and businesses can benefit
			 from professional insurance and financial planning advice, including an
			 assessment of their life insurance needs; and</text>
		</whereas><whereas><text>Whereas numerous groups supporting life insurance have
			 designated September 2007 as <quote>National Life Insurance Awareness
			 Month</quote> as a means to encourage consumers to—</text>

			 insurance needs;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idE63E90FC3FC1410BB07FA3D139FE7F1A" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>seek professional advice regarding
			 life insurance; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id6ABF054CC4CC455FB184C5A18706AEE0" indent="up1"><enum>(3)</enum><text>take the actions necessary to achieve
			 financial security for their loved ones: Now, therefore, be it</text>

	<resolution-body>
		<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="S1" section-type="undesignated-section"><enum></enum><text>That the Senate—</text>
			<paragraph id="ID0e10e4e5c4f744af8d55eda27cf83421"><enum>(1)</enum><text>supports the
			 goals and ideals of <quote>National Life Insurance Awareness Month</quote>;
			 and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID12396cb1f19b4f36b239c96c701620d9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>calls on the
			 Federal Government, States, localities, schools, nonprofit organizations,
			 businesses, and the citizens of the United States to observe the month with
			 appropriate programs and activities.</text>
