	<resolution-body display-resolving-clause="yes-display-resolving-clause" style="OLC">
		<section commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="S1" section-type="undesignated-section"><enum></enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">That in the enrollment of H.R. 660, an Act
			 to amend title 18, United States Code, to protect judges, prosecutors,
			 witnesses, victims, and their family members, and for other purposes, the Clerk
			 of the House of Representatives shall strike section 502 of the Act and insert
			 the following:</text>

				<section changed="added" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID7D7609D5247A4385ABD951E9ACB08980" reported-display-style="italic" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>502.<?LEXA-Enum 502.?></enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Magistrate
				judges life insurance</header>
					<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDB5032C74EE204EF49B929D20DE65072E"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/28/604">Section 604(a)(5)</external-xref> of title 28, United
				States Code, is amended by inserting after <quote>hold office during good
				behavior</quote>, the following: <quote>magistrate judges appointed under
				section 631 of this title,</quote>.</text>
					</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDE6334B27AF044196B44C9302BCCD81BF"><enum><added-phrase reported-display-style="italic">(b)</added-phrase></enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Construction</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of construing and applying
				<external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/87">chapter 87</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, including any adjustment of
				insurance rates by regulation or otherwise, the following categories of
				judicial officers shall be deemed to be judges of the United States as
				described under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/8701">section 8701</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code:</text>
						<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID98E20A8755104A6596D51D3AE8A5AA08"><enum><added-phrase reported-display-style="italic">(1)</added-phrase></enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Magistrate judges appointed under section
				631 of title 28, United States Code.</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID165C0DD917A84FDA89E7B807FFF7A3D2"><enum><added-phrase reported-display-style="italic">(2)</added-phrase></enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Magistrate judges retired under section 377
				of title 28, United States Code.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID9B1C35058756429BAF9629B51BB95552"><enum><added-phrase reported-display-style="italic">(c)</added-phrase></enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective
				Date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (b) and the
				amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to any payment made
				on or after the first day of the first applicable pay period beginning on or
				after the date of enactment of this
				Act.</text>
