			 General</header><text>Section 901 of the National Parks and Recreation Act of
			 1978 (16 U.S.C. 230) is amended in the second sentence by striking <quote>of
			 approximately twenty thousand acres generally depicted on the map entitled
			 <quote>Barataria Marsh Unit-Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and
			 Preserve</quote> numbered 90,000B and dated April 1978,</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>generally depicted on the map entitled <quote>Boundary Map, Barataria
			 Preserve Unit, Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve</quote>,
			 numbered _____, and dated ________,</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="IDB4FDDFF5D64B4BB9A64ECC1EE0752FD1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Acquisition of
			 Land</header><text>Section 902 of the National Parks and Recreation Act of 1978
			 (16 U.S.C. 230a) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="ID7155867409594D95B98E3CB365725569"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (a)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="ID59C9D4A52B6A464392EF9784BE93CE3A"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(a) Within the</quote> and all that follows through the first sentence
			 and inserting the following:</text>

				preserve unit</header>
									<subparagraph id="IDA63C8AD65F384B1A8660C03195F787CF"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>The Secretary may acquire any land, water, and interests
				in land and water within the area, as depicted on the map described in section
				901, by donation, purchase with donated or appropriated funds, transfer from
				any other Federal agency, or exchange.</text>
									</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDC9AF7DB6097D49849F78FFB4019590E3"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Limitations</header>
										<clause id="ID57173C98767F468D9B8D053C87B510EB"><enum>(i)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>Any private land located in the area, as depicted on the
				map described in section 901, may be acquired by the Secretary only with the
				consent of the owner of the land.</text>
										</clause><clause id="idC059F4D429B2480EA334946E1FA62A0F"><enum>(ii)</enum><header>Boundary
				adjustment</header><text>On the date on which the Secretary, under subparagraph
				(A), completes the acquisition of a parcel of private land located in the area,
				as depicted on the map described in section 901, the boundary of the historical
				park and preserve shall be adjusted to reflect the acquisition.</text>
										</clause><clause id="id9C43228FDF6943BCA7FE4793EC913A74"><enum>(iii)</enum><header>Jurisdiction
				of National Park Service</header><text>Any Federal land acquired in the areas
				shall be transferred without consideration to the administrative jurisdiction
				of the National Park Service.</text>
										</clause><clause id="IDB08EE2D5CF3140038F7BA68C319ACE99"><enum>(iv)</enum><header>Easements</header><text>To
				ensure adequate hurricane protection of the communities located in the area,
				any land in the area identified on the map that is acquired or transferred
				shall be subject to any easements that have been agreed to by the Secretary and
				the Secretary of the
				Army.</text>
										</clause></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID03A0316BE8BE4558BACDC1613B6F96ED"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in the second

				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>

			 subsection (g) as subsection (c).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="IDB4D95F8C4A17436FAC9C20C346CE2823"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Hunting,
			 Fishing, and Trapping</header><text>Section 905 of the National Parks and
			 Recreation Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 230d) is amended in the first sentence by
			 striking <quote>, except that within the core area and on those lands acquired
			 by the Secretary pursuant to section 902(c) of this title, he</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>on land, and interests in land and water managed by the
			 Secretary, except that the Secretary</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="IDE739ABB4D3E94593B2AEA0660210E8A6"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Administration</header><text>Section
			 906 of the National Parks and Recreation Act of 1978 (16 U.S.C. 230e) is

			 <quote>Barataria Marsh Unit</quote> each place it appears and inserting
			 <quote>Barataria Preserve Unit</quote>; and</text>

			 <quote>Jean Lafitte National Historical Park</quote> each place it appears and
			 inserting <quote>Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and

				section 901 as <quote>Lands Proposed for Addition</quote> may be acquired by

										</clause><clause id="id2caf1026-2ec4-4db5-ab6e-6a2db5e8164e"><enum>(ii)</enum><header>Boundary
				adjustment</header><text>On the date on which the Secretary acquires a parcel
				of land described in clause (i), the boundary of the Barataria Preserve Unit
				shall be adjusted to reflect the acquisition.</text>
										</clause><clause id="id9d09b55f-8738-4a24-af6d-46e42c8e6f3b"><enum>(iii)</enum><header>Jurisdiction of
				National Park Service</header><text>Administrative jurisdiction over any
				Federal land within the areas depicted on the map described in section 901 as
				<quote>Lands Proposed for Addition</quote> is transferred, without
				consideration, to the administrative jurisdiction of the National Park Service,
				to be administered as part of the Barataria Preserve Unit.</text>
										</clause><clause id="ide4d55682-2706-4496-a046-8ffa20cc50cf"><enum>(iv)</enum><header>Easements</header><text>To
				ensure adequate hurricane protection of the communities located in the area,
				any land identified on the map described in section 901 that is acquired or
				transferred shall be subject to any easements that have been agreed to by the
				Secretary and the Secretary of the
				Army.</text>
										</clause></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idc95512ee-6839-40a0-95bf-4b100c7b6c3b"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in the second sentence,

							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id880B9E9557EC4E419F6CEC50C8D4BEFB"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Adjacent
				land</header><text>With the consent of the owner and the parish governing
				authority, the Secretary may—</text>
							<paragraph id="id0202CF24B20E4406A8642C3079E98074"><enum>(1)</enum><text>acquire land, water, and
				interests in land and water, by any of the methods referred to in subsection
				(a)(1)(A) (including use of appropriations from the Land and Water Conservation
				Fund); and</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="idF316B787B1244D8FAEA11233CF3035BC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>revise the boundaries of
				the Barataria Preserve Unit to include adjacent land and
				water.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="idf8f6b267-4ba2-48f6-afdc-6e1ca7b19ca1"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 subsection (g) as subsection (d).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="ID7fbf68f4eba44c1da7253b7f9f5743bf"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definition of improved
			 property</header><text>Section 903 of the National Parks and Recreation Act of
			 1978 (16 U.S.C. 230b) is amended in the fifth sentence by inserting <quote>(or
			 January 1, 2007, for areas added to the park after that date)</quote> after
			 <quote>January 1, 1977</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="iddff26728-8eb0-45f6-b91c-c8e686f83b48"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Hunting, Fishing, and
			 Trapping</header><text>Section 905 of the National Parks and Recreation Act of
