		<official-title>To provide for increased export assistance staff in areas
		  in which the President declared a major disaster as a result of Hurricane
		  Katrina of 2005 and Hurricane Rita of 2005.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Gulf Coast Export Recovery Act of
			 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="idDDB51ACD6E9F45C4B1C28D8288486F60"><enum>2.</enum><header>Additional staff
			 for new orleans United States export assistance center</header>
			<subsection id="id7BA2435E1D79439E8B336CD9D2C06E6D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Secretary of Commerce shall hire 1 additional
			 full-time international trade specialist, to be located in the New Orleans,
			 Louisiana, United States Export Assistance Center.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="idAFACEC60103D485395163DE50A6609B8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Responsibilities</header><text>The
			 international trade specialist hired under subsection (a) shall provide service
			 to the parishes of East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Pointe Coupee,
			 Iberville, St. Martin, St. Landry, and Iberia, Louisiana, and any other parish
			 selected by the Secretary of Commerce.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="ID74af77a354314e909a03daee14b4d362"><enum>3.</enum><header>Gulf coast
			 export assistance</header>
			<subsection id="ID4cb21fed05ec45559c0c35fa05a3fb73"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Increase in
			 small business international trade staff</header><text>The Administrator shall
			 hire an additional full-time international finance specialist to the Office of
			 International Trade of the Administration.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="idB9AB750F9C0241EE86A09329BB5BF696"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Location and
			 service area</header><text>The international finance specialist hired under
			 subsection (a) shall—</text>
				<paragraph id="id3553ED305A3B47A2B7C8E3B80842F934"><enum>(1)</enum><text>be located in the
			 New Orleans, Louisiana United States Export Assistance Center;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="IDecb6afa7c4ea4c7b81749c05b8126ca1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>help to carry out
			 the export promotion efforts described in section 22 of the Small Business Act
			 (15 U.S.C. 649); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="IDc92aedfb0a244956878930f89a8254cc"><enum>(3)</enum><text>provide such
			 services in the States of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="ID1825674c95a040a5a1bef38535894ba6"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization
			 of appropriations</header>
				<paragraph id="ID66cfa3ee27ca41d7b90a135d2e21e464"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>There are authorized to be appropriated to the
			 Administration such sums as are necessary to carry out this section.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDf4e41b7996f449a896c74a10e4c42834"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Availability of
			 funds</header><text>Amounts made available under this subsection shall remain
			 available until expended.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section id="id1FCE2597928B4246979C38C33EBF668E"><enum>4.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">For purposes of this Act, the terms
			 <term>Administration</term> and <term>Administrator</term> mean the Small
			 Business Administration and the Administrator thereof, respectively.</text>
