		<official-title display="yes">To provide relief to the Pottawatomi Nation
		  in Canada for settlement of certain claims against the United
		  States.</official-title>

	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="yes-display-enacting-clause" style="OLC">
		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID93F1E9A73B084F91A0703417D834CDC8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Settlement of certain claims</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDC8DFE563592E4EE381AA1E46567DF740"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Authorization for payment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
			 subject to subsection (b), the Secretary of the Treasury shall pay to the
			 Pottawatomi Nation in Canada $1,830,000 from amounts appropriated under section
			 1304 of title 31, United States Code.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDF0B265FCBF8E4CD38C3278C03351D5FF"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Payment in accordance with Stipulation for
			 Recommendation of Settlement</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The payment under subsection (a)
			 shall—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID1A7900471C1C40B900D11B84BC1BD626"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">be made in accordance with the terms and
			 conditions of the Stipulation for Recommendation of Settlement dated May 22,
			 2000, entered into between the Pottawatomi Nation in Canada and the United
			 States (referred to in this Act as the <quote>Stipulation for Recommendation of
			 Settlement</quote>); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID39C76FD4DBF345BCA3367BA3B9F7869B"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">be included in the report of the Chief
			 Judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims regarding Congressional
			 Reference No. 94–1037X, submitted to the Senate on January 4, 2001, in
			 accordance with sections 1492 and 2509 of title 28, United States Code.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDD643A78F14D84665B0BEBFD004A8925E"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Full satisfaction of claims</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The payment under subsection (a) shall be
			 in full satisfaction of all claims of the Pottawatomi Nation in Canada against
			 the United States that are referred to or described in the Stipulation for
			 Recommendation of Settlement.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDEB52349F5F484777AB3390DBEC89B7A3"><enum>(d)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nonapplicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
			 the Indian Tribal Judgment Funds Use or Distribution Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/1401">25 U.S.C. 1401</external-xref> et
			 seq.) does not apply to the payment under subsection (a).</text>
