		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Stem Cell Research Expansion
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID013ea502cdeb4959829d25dc2148ce74" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Provision of Federal Funding</header>
			<subsection id="idF2A1E8ED47104902BFBA107F2550BFA6"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
			 Department of Health and Human Services may provide funding for the
			 following:</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID3e4437f57af240299090e504552d1e5c"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Research on embryonic stem cell lines that
			 were created prior to January 23, 2006 that does not result in the use of
			 Federal funding to destroy an embryo or embryos.</text>
