		  Historic Site in the State of Kentucky as the <quote>Abraham Lincoln Birthplace
		  National Historical Park</quote>.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Abraham Lincoln Birthplace
			 National Historical Park Act of 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section changed="deleted" committee-id="SSEG00" id="idCCD3DB001D724ED0A576F3E591F0CD24" reported-display-style="strikethrough"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds that—</text>
			<paragraph id="ID23e54f9f02e944e48e73b681c64e6e56"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Abraham
			 Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site was established by Congress on July
			 17, 1916;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID29aff5e1579c4cf78d565199d840ad15"><enum>(2)</enum><text>section 510 of
			 Public Law 105–355 (16 U.S.C. 218a) authorized the addition to the Historic
			 Site of the 228-acre Knob Creek Farm at which Abraham Lincoln lived between
			 1811 and 1816;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idF822EC531B2D441195D5295081394E75"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Knob Creek Farm
			 was donated to the National Historic Site in November 2001; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID509d2d6a83d342c7bdfe6f0794f3603e"><enum>(4)</enum><text>the 2006 General
			 Management Plan for the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site
			 recommends a change in the name of the Historic Site to <quote>National
			 Historical Park</quote> to reflect the addition of a second, noncontiguous
			 unit.</text>

			<subsection changed="not-changed" id="idD23F951668894870901C9DB85E35C625"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Designation</header><text>The
			 Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site in the State of Kentucky
			 shall be known and designated as the <quote>Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National
			 Historical Park</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection changed="not-changed" id="id8E241DD567344D87B12FF9F70168BD2C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>References</header><text>Any
			 reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the
			 United States to the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site shall be
			 deemed to be a reference to the <quote>Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National
			 Historical Park</quote>.</text>
