<subsection id="H12B8F21661354DB099F52CC4BD18BFB5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Army</header> 
<paragraph id="HECB308E8EC5540EA86A23F18F8102FD7"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Gold content</header><text>Section 3741 of title 10, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HE76B1D4962264D5089E000B0EDCEA2A3"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>The President</quote> and inserting <quote>(a) <header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Award</header-in-text>.—The President</quote>; and</text> </subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="HF25937CE44ED449C82CEA5F144FF6E42"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<paragraph id="H76D1F10388724BAEB4313025848B4FC3"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Exception for duplicate medal</header><text>Section 3754 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new sentence: <quote>Section 3741(b) of this title shall not apply to the issuance of a duplicate medal of honor under this section.</quote>.</text> </paragraph></subsection>

<subparagraph id="HC3A88FE1CD914D4A8B7110853D7EF424"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>The President</quote> and inserting <quote>(a) <header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Award</header-in-text>.—The President</quote>; and</text> </subparagraph>

<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6981214EFF9742FDA32FD54122AB7F5E"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act, and shall apply with respect to any award of the Medal of Honor on or after that date.</text> </subsection></section>
