		<official-title>To ensure that the Sex Offender Registration and
		  Notification Act is applied retroactively.</official-title>

		<section id="S1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as
			 the <quote><short-title>Sex Offender Registration and
			 Notification Retroactivity Correction Act of 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id3C74F89EA7784150A29E836F29B47FAC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Registry
			 Requirements</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 113 of
			 the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (42 U.S.C. 16913) shall
			 apply to sex offenders convicted before, on, or after the date of enactment of
			 that Act.</text>
		</section><section id="idCE173CC17A4E4A9BBCCA0ED9DDB653BC"><enum>3.</enum><header>Amendments to
			 title 18</header>
			<subsection id="id8860FFDA96B44F6A84054F4A27B32C7B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Failure to
			 register</header><text>Section 2250(a)(2)(B) of title 18, United States Code,
			 is amended by—</text>
				<paragraph id="id2F4E0668B5744E7E947A2710AC9376F8"><enum>(1)</enum><text>inserting
			 <quote>or has traveled</quote> after <quote>travels</quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id9B89617D46F74D26BDF94F02083E1807"><enum>(2)</enum><text>inserting
			 <quote>or has entered or left, or resided in</quote> before <quote>Indian
			 country</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id85AFB35E8D4A4E52BF0C734A51E4DE47"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting
			 <quote>, after conviction of the offense by reason of which the person is a sex
			 offender as defined for the purposes of the Sex Offender Registration and
			 Notification Act</quote> after <quote>Indian country</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id0EA7944F52D145EEBC68FF79A98D5D01"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Continuing
			 offense</header><text>Section 2250 of title 18, United States Code, is amended
			 by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idD68AB02453AD42A28CE2BE3B6B14B828" style="OLC">
					<subsection id="id5D4C155CB4004EB795C1043242E46284"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Continuing
				offense</header><text>Failure to register or update a registration in violation
				of subsection (a) is a continuing offense for as long as such failure
				exists.</text>
