		<official-title display="yes">To amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of
		  1938 to provide for an increase in the Federal minimum wage and to ensure that
		  increases in the Federal minimum wage keep pace with any pay adjustments for
		  Members of Congress.</official-title>

		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0FDF862C29504D378039B2282A7C2AD9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Standing with Minimum Wage Earners Act
			 of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idED8183AD546940DFB58E53AFBB6CA84C" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Minimum
			 wage</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 6(a)(1) of the
			 Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 U.S.C. 206(a)(1)) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id6DD29C46D49444A99F8920C2ACB386FD"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subparagraph (B), by striking
			 <quote>and</quote> at the end; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idFACC6560A67747D2BF49D6E03D4CBFD1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting after subparagraph (C), the
			 following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id5FB6B7A88D694BA583A2E9414430E103" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID31bef514dd684e01833f9103688a9f47"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">$8.00 an hour, beginning on January 1,
				2010;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idA510F5571C7448A284B407AE0B2DE648"><enum>(E)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">$8.75 an hour, beginning on October 1,
				2010;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idCE26816F6B9C4A9282486E5F18E47066"><enum>(F)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">$9.50 an hour, beginning on July 1, 2011;
				and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID8cd708b8c8c1471eaa75a48b5d01ff6d"><enum>(G)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">beginning on July 1, 2012, and annually
				adjusted on each July 1 thereafter, the amount of the minimum wage for the year
				preceding the date of the determination made under this subparagraph, increased
				by a percentage equal to the percentage by which the annual rate of pay for
				Members of Congress increased for such year as provided for pursuant to the
				Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (2 U.S.C.
				31);</text>
