		  warrants.</official-title>

		<section id="ID50CB3497342D4C2CB7DECAA4D2198B4C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Reasonable Notice and Search
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="IDED906F54D5EC4EF9B0EC81753E004353"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limitation on
			 authority to delay notice of search warrants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3103a of title 18, United States
			 Code, is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="ID84B60394199D45F0BF68AF24EA8C98EB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (b)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="ID072e1ee27a714804a3dda724851bdf8a"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (1),
			 by striking <quote>may have an adverse result (as defined in section 2705,
			 except if the adverse results consist only of unduly delaying a trial)</quote>
			 and inserting <quote>will endanger the life or physical safety of an
			 individual, result in flight from prosecution, result in the destruction of or
			 tampering with the evidence sought under the warrant, or result in intimidation
			 of potential witnesses</quote>; and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID6a13fd87765643c29b71f0db660d9e08"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (3),
			 by striking <quote>30 days</quote> and all that follows and inserting <quote>7
			 days after the date of its execution.</quote>; and</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="ID8b46c24674a24cc185bc9b36b3e90abf"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (c), by striking <quote>for good cause shown</quote> and all that follows and
			 inserting <quote>upon application of the Attorney General, the Deputy Attorney
			 General, or an Associate Attorney General, for additional periods of not more
			 than 21 calendar days for each such application, if the court finds, for each
			 such application, reasonable cause to believe that notice of the execution of
			 the warrant will endanger the life or physical safety of an individual, result
			 in flight from prosecution, result in the destruction of or tampering with the
			 evidence sought under the warrant, or result in intimidation of potential
			 witnesses.</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="ID79D1DBDC91004A0B80E773B318A649CF"><enum>3.</enum><header>Sunset on
			 delayed notice authority</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 102(b) of the USA PATRIOT
			 Improvement and Reauthorization Act of 2005 (50 U.S.C. 1805 note) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="id7A638E73663C42C1B5246FFF83B645DD"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in the subsection heading, by inserting
			 <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">,
			 213,</header-in-text></quote> before <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">and 215</header-in-text></quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id94867B6D9974472A9B6015A3CB9B59F1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (1), by inserting
			 <quote>section 3103a of title 18, United States Code, is amended so that
			 section reads as it read on October 25, 2001, and</quote> before <quote>the
			 Foreign Intelligence</quote>.</text>
