		<official-title>To amend title 31, United States Code, to require the
		  inscription <quote>In God We Trust</quote> to appear on a face of the $1 coins
		  honoring each of the Presidents of the United States.</official-title>

			 to face of coin</header>
			<subsection id="ID4A922A9B1A814B869EDFC73A69A9AC7D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text>Section 5112(n)(2) of title 31, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="IDEDD0DFB722C84348A4A6F4D06F618CE5"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (C)(i)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="IDC961C2A801304B69974F0F4A5AC7CBCA"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>inscriptions</quote> and inserting <quote>inscription</quote>;
			 and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID4957574D134A4DF486E781BD65796CE2"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>and <quote>In God We Trust</quote></quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="ID100315E6D2F74E0791F5C78AAD47F64A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subparagraph:</text>

						<subparagraph id="IDE0794DFD17C547FD9D8BD7ACF7DFE89B"><enum>(F)</enum><header>Inscription of
				<quote>in god we trust</quote></header><text>The design on the obverse or the
				reverse shall bear the inscription <quote>In God We
				Trust</quote>.</text>
						</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idE3F4A721DB0C4EA8866BBC6AD52994F4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendment</header><text>Section 5112(r)(2) of title 31, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="idB41C6B35AC3246BEA30E119D3E282DD0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (C)(i)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="id3BB46A42D62C4B02A6B4AF986A2047A6"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>inscriptions</quote> and inserting <quote>inscription</quote>;
			 and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idA037CC2468B84A9BA4C19A740E3D8739"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>and <quote>In God We Trust</quote> </quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id1549B10B95DC432285B3A30DFA5A7377"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subparagraph:</text>

						<subparagraph id="id0E2B7D0AC7C34EB8A592A1FB7EE5342E"><enum>(E)</enum><header>Inscription of
				<quote>In God we Trust</quote></header><text>The design on the obverse or the
				reverse shall bear the inscription <quote>In God We
				Trust</quote>.</text>
						</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="ID6F145CA1D87749C98B31573085794F15"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 Date</header><text>The change required by the amendments made by subsections
			 (a) and (b) shall be put into effect by the Secretary of the Treasury as soon
			 as is practicable after the date of enactment of this Act.</text>
