			 <quote><short-title>Outdoor Recreation Act of 1963
			 Amendments Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section changed="deleted" committee-id="SSEG00" id="idCF009DC0568C407FBEE59B655328843C" reported-display-style="strikethrough"><enum>2.</enum><header>Finding</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds that the National Tropical
			 Botanical Garden operates and maintains for the benefit of the people of the
			 United States 5 tropical botanical gardens, which are recognized as—</text>
			<paragraph id="id93EC5F3AF36E4D3A84B6529A1EAE269D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>educational and
			 scientific centers; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id922FBC8D6D00400687B00E19F6D9F757"><enum>(2)</enum><text>beneficial
			 facilities that contribute to the education, instruction, and recreation of the
			 people of the United States.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section changed="deleted" committee-id="SSEG00" id="idD36A7719D27A49298189AF5FCA0FA764" reported-display-style="strikethrough"><enum>3.</enum><header>Amendments to the
			 outdoor recreation act of 1963</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Public Law 88–29 (commonly known as the
			 <quote>Outdoor Recreation Act of 1963</quote>) (16 U.S.C. 460<italic>l
			 </italic>et seq.) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="id65F5D1221C3643D5A371FE70D7E621C9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 section 4 as section 5; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idA01BA918DA2E4183BE517B8A03845B5F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 section 3 the following:</text>

					<section id="idA696AC403BF24048A6991A961E51F3FE"><enum>4.</enum><header>Authorization of
				appropriations</header>
						<subsection id="idB24FF773F9E0494F8F4BDF720C7FA1A5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>There are authorized to be appropriated to the National
				Tropical Botanical Garden (referred to in this section as the
				<term>corporation</term>) to match donations made to the corporation by State
				and local governments and private persons to operate and maintain the 5
				tropical botanical gardens under the jurisdiction of the corporation—</text>
							<paragraph id="idE18DF78DDE724DD590350D5A38EB8F7B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>$1,000,000 for
				fiscal year 2009; and</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="id1FD9A663ED254AD18CFC57E6D6A5CD46"><enum>(2)</enum><text>subject to
				subsection (b), such sums as are necessary for fiscal year 2010 and each
				subsequent fiscal year.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="idA0723434F4D74EC484A67CC0609CB220"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation</header>
							<paragraph id="id40781B611F80469DB145569587FACF8F"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>Not more than $500,000, as adjusted under paragraph (2),
				shall be made available for any 1 fiscal year under subsection (a)(2).</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="id4C7E4C90E8AB4D04BCAB160426C6560A"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Inflation
				adjustment</header><text>For each fiscal year beginning in fiscal year 2010,
				the maximum amount established under paragraph (1) shall be adjusted for
				inflation.</text>

			 appropriations for national tropical botanical garden</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Chapter 1535 of title 36, United States
			 Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

				appropriations</header>
					<subsection id="id929bb5b1-cae7-41c7-a1ef-9570fd70c44e"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>Subject to subsection (b), there is authorized to be
				appropriated to the corporation for operation and maintenance expenses $500,000
				for each of fiscal years 2008 through 2017.</text>
					</subsection><subsection id="id0AD8FE66676E4C9DB4C40190805BBAC4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text>Any
				Federal funds made available under subsection (a) shall be matched on a 1-to-1
				basis by non-Federal
				funds.</text>
