		<section id="HC8BF60C5A93A47AEACDB74292551A465" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Recreational Boating Act of 2007
			 </short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H26D9426F021C494A924039E0FB480506" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header>
			<subsection id="HC3551839E4094320A97364ED9C3CB289"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Pollutant</header><text>Section
			 502(6) of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/33/1362">33 U.S.C. 1362(6)</external-xref>)
			 is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="id21D8F0DC40E944F4A8617C9CD3AA33C0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(6) The term <term>pollutant</term></quote> and inserting the
			 following:</text>

							</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="id06387F04398145F39BFFA6B3FC2028EF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in the second
			 sentence—</text>
					<subparagraph id="id2C07A70F696E4FD487602EF73793A52F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>This term does not mean</quote> and inserting the following:</text>

							<subparagraph id="id4A3EF7A9C9694453AEE5864E258E0AAA"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Exceptions</header>

				general</header><text>Subject to clause (ii), the term <term>pollutant</term>
				does not
				mean</text>
								</clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id2CACE47138E9431E8C67873A74521C2E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(A) sewage</quote> and inserting the following:</text>

							<subclause id="id3C76FB5685D0423A865C86EDDB8BA2AA"><enum>(I)</enum><text>sewage</text>

					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idEF36C4F7CD244BF4839412A3773BCF92"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or (B) water</quote> and inserting the following:</text>

			 period at the end and inserting <quote>; or</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idA486CFE930C64875AAF4EA09C08B538D"><enum>(E)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>

							<subclause id="idF0BA49040D8C4CE1A29905DE1919B1C1"><enum>(II)</enum><text>any deck runoff
				from a recreational vessel, any engine cooling water, gray water, bilge water
				effluent from properly functioning recreational marine engine, laundry, shower,
				and galley sink waste from a recreational vessel, or any other discharge
				incidental to the normal operation of a recreational vessel.</text>
							</subclause><clause id="idEC831A58387F47838CC431CE112A5622"><enum>(ii)</enum><header>Exception</header><text>Clause
				(i)(III) does not apply to rubbish, trash, garbage, or any other similar
				material discharged overboard by a recreational
				vessel.</text>
							</clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H0BD01FAACFE24DFFA7AC0019005D36A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Recreational
			 vessel</header><text>Section 502 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act
			 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/33/1362">33 U.S.C.
			 1362</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB7DBFD078DB04CC491DFFF05EBF20066" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H9136B978BF0D4B8EBB1691986E2D4254"><enum>(25)</enum><header>Recreational
				vessel</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term
				<term>recreational vessel</term> means a vessel that is—</text>
						<subparagraph id="H53A45D7969EA48E28F5790FEBB608C67"><enum>(A)</enum><text>manufactured for
				operation, or operated, primarily for recreational purposes; or</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" id="HC0B7421BBC76495283E4C98E3D5D1FB6"><enum>(B)</enum><text>leased, rented, or
				chartered to an individual for recreational
				purposes.</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
