			 <quote><short-title>Wolf House Study Act of
			 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>

			 in Norfolk, Arkansas, is the oldest 2-story log structure and the oldest
			 territorial courthouse west of the Mississippi River.</text>
		</section><section changed="deleted" commented="no" committee-id="SSEG00" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDB582B99C08AC401EA7B9BD1BAABED03D" reported-display-style="strikethrough" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID1B406D9FB5F44841BDAE311CC4C93560"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>Secretary</term> means the
			 Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the National Park
			 Service.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID5031E8F8DBFE4B2E9AF2B3D1D8649DBF"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Wolf
			 House</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <term>Wolf
			 House</term> means the structure known by that name located on Highway 5 in
			 Norfolk, Arkansas.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section changed="deleted" commented="no" committee-id="SSEG00" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID700FE45D48BD4E9F9DFC6D53DA26F5E5" reported-display-style="strikethrough" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>4.</enum><header>Wolf House
			 study</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID5512E7574E834DC79B901AE6DB4B9806"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary, in
			 consultation with the State of Arkansas, shall—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID8032417EA646413680B8238ACA416E4E"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">carry out a study on the suitability and
			 feasibility of designating the Wolf House as a unit of the National Park
			 System; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDFA635CC62FF24F7EB135CD3A257D7DFA"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">consider management alternatives for the
			 Wolf House.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDBDE311E3786B45CC8F6E1642BDF2353E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicable
			 law</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Except as provided by
			 subsection (c), section 8(c) of
			 <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/91/383">Public Law
			 91–383</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1a-5(c)">16 U.S.C. 1a–5(c)</external-xref>) shall apply
			 to the conduct and completion of the study required by subsection (a).</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID8E944B7054B64EF5A2C1F1764B88261E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 1 year after the date of
			 enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Natural
			 Resources of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and
			 Natural Resources of the Senate a report describing the results of the
			 study.</text>

	<legis-body display-enacting-clause="no-display-enacting-clause">
		<section changed="added" committee-id="SSEG00" id="ID53b2eb5f27a84aae9c65b814223b2ee8" reported-display-style="italic" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Wolf House Study Act of
			 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section changed="added" committee-id="SSEG00" id="ID6b670d5c22af4efda2f80e05f2a85cfb" reported-display-style="italic"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="IDf6c7a837e47b47b09a2da2006c950cd0"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The
			 term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID81a576a9e1234c38bc159406e3cc3176"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Wolf
			 house</header><text>The term <term>Wolf House</term> means the structure known
			 by that name located on Highway 5 in Norfork, Arkansas.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section changed="added" committee-id="SSEG00" id="IDae769230d29741b48f96b55d60423859" reported-display-style="italic"><enum>3.</enum><header>Wolf house
			 study</header>
			<subsection id="ID3881625badd84988b0e1911aa83a0df2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>In accordance with subsection (b), the Secretary shall
			 complete a special resource study of the Wolf House to determine—</text>
				<paragraph id="IDf00889694c0c422ab8c9ac5b39863e65"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the suitability and
			 feasibility of designating the Wolf House as a unit of the National Park
			 System; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="ID20db6239f39742cf863e32af19d45e1e"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the methods and means for
			 the protection and interpretation of the Wolf House by—</text>
					<subparagraph id="id57B3C506E59B4176AB085F3F06EB68F1"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the National Park
			 Service;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idB3906019469649D2AADE792D660D42C6"><enum>(B)</enum><text>other entities of the
			 Federal Government;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id31F3CBCBE6474B1AA192C7DF262A3902"><enum>(C)</enum><text>State and local
			 government entities; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id81C1E7A9E03447A29E31D82425FF2161"><enum>(D)</enum><text>private and nonprofit
			 organizations.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="IDead7a126b94c455dba52d679bea1418f"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Study
			 requirements</header><text>The Secretary shall conduct the study in accordance
			 with section 8(c) of Public Law 91–383 (16 U.S.C. 1a–5(c)).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="ID8cc665e6375b4d3098f2f690f57441ca"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not
			 later than 3 years after the date on which funds are made available to carry
			 out this section, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Energy and
			 Natural Resources of the Senate and the Committee on Natural Resources of the
			 House of Representatives a report containing—</text>
				<paragraph id="ID37cae690f7d845e4beb5e7be6f3a9705"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the results of the study;
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="IDd25f095af3ec453092605f1b1f7b650a"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any recommendations of
			 the Secretary.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body><official-title-amendment>Amend the title so as to read:
	 <quote>A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to study the
	 suitability and feasibility of designating the Wolf House, located in Norfork,
	 Arkansas, as a unit of the National Park System, and for other
	 purposes.</quote>.</official-title-amendment>
