			 <quote><short-title>Weir Farm National Historic Site
			 Amendment Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section changed="deleted" committee-id="SSEG00" id="HF9A6840700EA43148FE7F36733CA4B08" reported-display-style="strikethrough"><enum>2.</enum><header>Development of
			 property for Weir Farm National Historic Site</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 4(d) of the Weir Farm National
			 Historic Site Establishment Act of 1990 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/461">16 U.S.C. 461</external-xref> note; Public Law
			 101–485) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H0C31107FA26F40C4B3026C968B57C800"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (1)(B), by striking <quote>contiguous to</quote> and all that follows through
			 the period at the end and inserting <quote>located in Fairfield County,
			 Connecticut.</quote>;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H98CC16EE3ADF41D390B5AF93A69686F1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 paragraph (2) and inserting the following:</text>
				<quoted-block changed="deleted" committee-id="SSEG00" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6CBC0856E05F43EAB0F977B00451F2BF" reported-display-style="strikethrough" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H219978FED3B3465184E692261235DEEE"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Development of
				acquired property</header>
						<subparagraph id="H2B3006A9511147628F90C624FFD1A869"><enum>(A)</enum><header>Limitation
				relating to development</header><text>Except as provided in subparagraph (B),
				to ensure that any property acquired by the Secretary under paragraph (1)(A)
				conforms to the natural and undeveloped landscape of the property described in
				subsection (b), the Secretary shall limit, to the maximum extent practicable,
				the development of any property acquired by the Secretary under paragraph
				(1)(A).</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5D0C6AFFCC2E4C35872F45A67029004D"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Exception</header><text>The
				limitation relating to the development of property described in subparagraph
				(A) shall not—</text>
							<clause id="id10B20BD8BC2D40C99BC5B6B52FB62A8B"><enum>(i)</enum><text>prohibit the
				Secretary from acquiring any property under paragraph (1)(A) that, on the date
				on which the Secretary acquires the property, is developed in a manner that
				does not conform to the natural and undeveloped landscape of the property
				described in subsection (b); or</text>
							</clause><clause id="id31747AFE62364AB59A8947C5D7F48077"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>require the
				Secretary to take any action to ensure that any property described in clause
				(i) that is acquired by the Secretary under paragraph (1)(A) conforms to the
				natural and undeveloped landscape of the property described in subsection
				(b).</text>
							</clause></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HD64E280E06794E3AA1DCCB10B3874851"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (3),
			 in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>the appropriate
			 zoning authority</quote> and all that follows through <quote>Wilton,
			 Connecticut,</quote> and inserting <quote>the local governmental entity that,
			 in accordance with applicable State law, has jurisdiction over any property
			 acquired under paragraph (1)(A)</quote>.</text>

			 <quote><short-title>Weir Farm National Historic Site
			 Amendment Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section changed="added" committee-id="SSEG00" id="id19aa72d3-a230-4bbf-9616-a27b71e22760" reported-display-style="italic"><enum>2.</enum><header>Location of visitor and
			 administrative facilities for Weir Farm National Historic Site</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 4(d) of the Weir Farm National
			 Historic Site Establishment Act of 1990 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/461">16 U.S.C. 461</external-xref> note) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="idff0706fc-2f60-4abd-8b9c-417fcfc5ddea"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)(B), by
			 striking <quote>contiguous to</quote> and all that follows and inserting
			 <quote>within Fairfield County.</quote>;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id380ded5e-7a22-447e-a384-a588cc11e0c3"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by amending paragraph (2)
			 to read as follows:</text>
				<quoted-block changed="added" committee-id="SSEG00" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id96b32b48-be9a-459f-ab31-7363db23953c" reported-display-style="italic" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="id4d7b2eba-348b-4e77-8bab-1fcefd49627c"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Development</header>
						<subparagraph id="id1177cfee-6a7e-4f8c-9c1c-ae2559a00cc0"><enum>(A)</enum><header>Maintaining natural
				character</header><text>The Secretary shall keep development of the property
				acquired under paragraph (1) to a minimum so that the character of the acquired
				property will be similar to the natural and undeveloped landscape of the
				property described in subsection (b).</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idbcb657a8-4d9b-46b2-bbea-d07bc2ddd1bb"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Treatment of previously
				developed property</header><text>Nothing in subparagraph (A) shall either
				prevent the Secretary from acquiring property under paragraph (1) that, prior
				to the Secretary’s acquisition, was developed in a manner inconsistent with
				subparagraph (A), or require the Secretary to remediate such previously
				developed property to reflect the natural character described in subparagraph
				(A).</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idd3b6e5c5-6e48-4b7d-9e7d-23eb01540fb2"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (3), in the
			 matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>the appropriate zoning
			 authority</quote> and all that follows through <quote>Wilton,
			 Connecticut,</quote> and inserting <quote>the local governmental entity that,
			 in accordance with applicable State law, has jurisdiction over any property
			 acquired under paragraph (1)(A)</quote>.</text>
