		<official-title display="yes">To amend the Ethics in Government Act of
		  1978 to establish criminal penalties for knowingly and willfully falsifying or
		  failing to file or report certain information required to be reported under
		  that Act.</official-title>

		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id90CAB36185404E45BEE97D9974C21C1A" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Knowing and willful falsification or
			 failure to report</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 104
			 of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id783F3156B3EC4B429B7C1085DB2C50D1"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting <quote>(1)</quote> after
			 <quote>(a)</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id435C56BBBC2B4E7FBA6B407C9EB9AF05"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idBE0FD5C493B44B13950A758B2A5BD9C6" style="OLC">
					<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idE36CA87731614B4AA9996F22B667439F" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="id3CF2C3FD42BF4086AFB78A2C49AF91E6"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">It shall be unlawful for any person to
				knowingly and willfully falsify, or to knowingly and willingly fail to file or
				report, any information that such person is required to report under section
				102.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idA38B880D6BC546559098A5998CFFD1EE" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any person who violates subparagraph (A)
				shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, imprisoned for not more than
				1 year, or
				both.</text>
