		<official-title>To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to study the
		  feasibility of enlarging the Arthur V. Watkins Dam Weber Basin Project, Utah,
		  to provide additional water for the Weber Basin Project to fulfill the purposes
		  for which that project was authorized.</official-title>

		<section id="IDF0DE40C197844BAA95B0A88C3D37D261" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote>Arthur
			 V. Watkins Dam Enlargement Act</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="IDAAAEF6671C4E459C865EB48F99C70090"><enum>2.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds the following:</text>
			<paragraph id="IDBC269A978FBB4E6ABD2FBABBBE367E7E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Arthur V. Watkins
			 Dam is a feature of the Weber Basin Project, which was authorized by law on
			 August 29, 1949.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID1D5AA4F3476341E28295B1C83808E51E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Increasing the
			 height of Arthur V. Watkins Dam and construction of pertinent facilities may
			 provide additional storage capacity for the development of additional water
			 supply for the Weber Basin Project for uses of municipal and industrial water
			 supply, flood control, fish and wildlife, and recreation.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="IDF9A7E3CDE90040879AE9585D6BBDF006"><enum>3.</enum><header>Authorization of
			 feasibility study</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The
			 Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Bureau of Reclamation, is
			 authorized to conduct a feasibility study on raising the height of Arthur V.
			 Watkins Dam for the development of additional storage to meet water supply
			 needs within the Weber Basin Project area and the Wasatch Front. The
			 feasibility study shall include such environmental evaluation as required under
			 the <act-name parsable-cite="NEPA69">National Environmental Policy Act of
			 1969</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/4321">42 U.S.C. 4321 et seq.</external-xref>) and a cost allocation as required
			 under the Reclamation Project Act of 1939 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/485">43 U.S.C. 485 et seq.</external-xref>).</text>
		</section><section id="ID516BC2F8E00041F0865F56F0616F5DB9"><enum>4.</enum><header>Cost
			 shares</header>
			<subsection id="ID3089DBC345F348C2B58596204783DE71"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Federal
			 Share</header><text>The Federal share of the costs of the study authorized in
			 section 3 shall not exceed 50 percent of the total cost of the study.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="ID5E58ECFA01A34A4BABE572E37442426F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>In-Kind
			 Contributions</header><text>The Secretary shall accept, as appropriate, in-kind
			 contributions of goods or services from the Weber Basin Water Conservancy
			 District. Such goods and services accepted under this section shall be counted
			 as part of the non-Federal cost share for the study.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="ID150165D723EA40A0A6CEDA411F63548A"><enum>5.</enum><header>Authorization of
			 appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">There is
			 authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary $1,000,000 for the Federal cost
			 share of the study authorized in section 3.</text>
		</section><section id="IDE998972EE2AD4756B09DEC20C69B4617"><enum>6.</enum><header>Sunset</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The authority of the Secretary to carry out
			 any provisions of this Act shall terminate 10 years after the date of the
			 enactment of this Act.</text>
