		  and Facilities Act to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to participate in
		  the Southern California Desert Region Integrated Water and Economic

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA54F6968C7E744C9A4523327307E002E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Southern California Desert Region
			 Integrated Water and Economic Sustainability Plan
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H1A94E388EC454EF0B517A2E23F10BF68"><enum>3.</enum><header>Project
			 authorization</header>
			<subsection id="HCCD036F3CAC1428DBA133547E868CD57"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Reclamation Wastewater and Groundwater Study and
			 Facilities Act (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/102/575">Public Law 102–575</external-xref>, title XVI; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/390h">43 U.S.C. 390h et seq.</external-xref>) is
			 amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text>

					<section id="H180EAD1B1C00492FB78FC186BC2BF1FC"><enum>16__.</enum><header>Southern
				California desert region integrated water and economic sustainability
				plan</header>
						<subsection id="H4FC93618913542089FF81EC7E668AE44"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization</header><text>The
				Secretary, in cooperation with the Mojave Water Agency is authorized to
				participate in the design, planning, and construction of projects to
				<quote>Implement Mojave Water Agency’s Integrated Regional Water Management
				Plan</quote>.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="H9532B73D622D4F76BD43C5F5EA51C036"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Cost
				share</header><text>The Federal share of the costs of the projects authorized
				by this section shall not exceed 25 percent of the total cost.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="H155441EDE6AB4A529127FFE7FB9CE30"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of
				appropriations</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated to carry
				out this section
				$20,000,000.</text>
						</subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7FAA4B5B10774330BEFBAF51AE3FBC27"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 Amendment</header><text>The table of sections in section 2 of Public Law
			 102–575 is amended by inserting after the last item relating to title XVI the
			 following:</text>

					</toc>

			</subsection><subsection id="H790FC8171A044F5D9F73567907A9EC8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text>The
			 Secretary shall not provide funds for the operation or maintenance of a project
			 authorized by this section.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H91F91718F0C442F486A947697708B23B"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Credits toward
			 non-federal share</header><text>For purposes of subparagraph (b) the Secretary
			 shall credit the Mojave Water Agency with the value of all expenditures made
			 prior to the date of the enactment of this Act that are used toward completion
			 of projects that are compatible with this section.</text>
