		<official-title>To amend title 49, United States Code, to allow
		  additional transit systems greater flexibility with certain public
		  transportation projects.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H37D1FACD308E471082001CCC2F93965F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Transit System Flexibility Protection
			 Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6B4A5695ED494B68AEBDB53D5439716F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Urbanized area
			 formula grants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section
			 5307(b)(1) of title 49, United States Code, is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H955689D6DB6B4E3F928B0090A8973378"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 subparagraphs (E) and (F) as subparagraphs (F) and (G), respectively;
			 and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H4F5DD3B12FD8451F8662A38EE86F17D2"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 subparagraph (D) the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBE4367117DEC449C8100161CBD05AAE0" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph id="H67BC9A836AB34C9EAF336F44FE60FE84"><enum>(E)</enum><text>operating costs of
				equipment and facilities for use in public transportation in an urbanized area
				with a population of at least 200,000 if the State or regional authority
				providing public transportation for the area operates less than 100 buses in
				fixed-route service in the area during peak service
				hours;</text>
