		<legis-type>A BILL</legis-type>
		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to prohibit
		  discrimination and acts of reprisal against persons who receive treatment for
		  illnesses, injuries, and disabilities incurred in or aggravated by service in
		  the uniformed services.</official-title>

		<section id="HFFBDE023C3BE4C7895314600085E2E93" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Wounded Veteran Job Security Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H7D4068A812C14C46BFADCAD2ABC66665"><enum>2.</enum><header>Discrimination
			 against persons who receive treatment for illnesses, injuries, and disabilities
			 incurred in or aggravated by service in the uniformed services and acts of
			 reprisal prohibited</header>
			<subsection id="H6AC3108554C94F83BED6487BE5953808"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition of
			 discrimination and acts of reprisal</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/4311">Section 4311</external-xref> of title 38, United States
			 Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H0EF808FFBB4140AD8312064DBB162157"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (a)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H6EB132CA304C47C08BA48F6DA8A48C9F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 <quote>uniformed service</quote> the following: <quote>, or who has an illness,
			 injury, or disability determined by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to have
			 been incurred in or aggravated by such service,</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HDC0CFA5809354822A5D9EEA0114EC310"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or obligation</quote> and inserting <quote>obligation, or receipt of
			 treatment for that illness, injury, or disability</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H6BD221CF6EA445B8004E53DB104EA20"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in
			 subsection (c)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HB813849515994819BB325FE4971F0BB"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or obligation for service</quote> the first time it appears and
			 inserting <quote>obligation for service, or receipt of treatment for an
			 illness, injury, or disability incurred in or aggravated by service</quote>
			 and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H672075FF764C4230AEDA789BCE34E072"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or obligation for service</quote> the second time it appears and
			 inserting <quote>obligation for service, or receipt of
			 treatment</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H3093F563D4164F4F93BAE92E76C17250"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply with
			 respect to treatment received on or after the date of the enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
