			 period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for
			 consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the
			 committee concerned</action-desc>

		<official-title>To amend Healthy Forests Restoration Act of 2003 to
		  expand the areas of Federal land on which hazardous fuel reduction projects may
		  be conducted under that Act.</official-title>

		<section id="H851179D7DABC4CE0938F40A7D805A401" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Healthy Forests Restoration Amendments
			 Act of 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H52DFB42F689A418B009906C745DFB345"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expansion of
			 Federal land eligible for hazardous fuel reduction projects</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 102(a) of the Healthy Forests
			 Restoration Act of 2003 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/6512">16 U.S.C. 6512(a)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H33BB748C0A3640339F5103C0A2844714"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (2),
			 by striking <quote>condition class 3 Federal land</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>Federal land</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HF98E981B0B384E5C8809AD541DB33C04"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 paragraphs (3) and (4) and inserting the following new paragraphs:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H019493E8C5284EE4A700E7E452E4A3D6" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H3638AF60DB624B82B45615DB32F5005E"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Federal land that is described as condition
				class 2 or condition class 3;</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="H7A8D9B7FBBE74DF900E868AD7FA91816"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Federal land on which there is windthrow,
				blowdown, or ice storm damage or an infestation of disease or insects;
				and</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
