		<official-title>To amend the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 to
		  exempt any solar energy project on lands managed by the Bureau of Land
		  Management from an environmental impact statement requirement.</official-title>

		<section id="H5343A4D3925D40BBA18C4900EBC8561D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote>Emergency Solar Power Permit Act</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H84CA3675FEB54D77B47B6B941BDA55AE"><enum>2.</enum><header>Exemption of
			 solar energy projects from environmental impact statement requirement</header>
			<subsection id="H34CDADBFC8CD478BA9B4DDF800245439"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Title I of the
			 National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/4331">42 U.S.C. 4331 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended
			 by adding at the end the following new section:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HCB630B90D1C246D9828C42A7643D8D1" style="traditional">
					<section id="HA66D9A1600544D86A68ED3A10880B618"><enum>106.</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No action relating to the development,
				deployment, or operation of a solar energy project on lands managed by the
				Bureau of Land Management shall be considered a major Federal action for the
				purposes of section
				102(2)(C).</text>
					</section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HA1734AC120214D408E12FD0AFAACC2E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effect for
			 statements underway</header><text>Each department and agency of the Federal
			 Government shall cease the preparation of a statement, commenced pursuant to
			 section 102(2)(C) of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (42 U.S.C.
			 4332(2)(C)), for any action described in the amendment made by subsection (a),
			 to the extent that the preparation of such statement would delay or otherwise
			 interfere with such action.</text>
