<section id="HDCCB932B79AF433B9D6FA9A2DAB7BCEB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Protection of the religious freedom of military chaplains to close a prayer outside of a religious service according to the dictates of the chaplain’s conscience</header> 
<subsection id="HA9ADADFA5AFA4153001E5B72E46C4801"><enum>(a)</enum><header>United States Army</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/3547">Section 3547</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: </text>

<subsection id="H83FEAE7912FF4A7FA398CAAB7D9188B2"><enum>(c)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, a chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the chaplain’s own conscience.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H63CA403926CA4B7B906DB3D93725F0CB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>United States Military Academy</header><text>Section 4337 of such title is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H91338EBD7CE448FEB630B3E811CFBD67"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>(a)</quote> before <quote>There</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H2A589F1D35EB4808A8D7838C6BE04074"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection: </text>

<subsection id="H5871D30EDB17467C8826316E00A9DF72"><enum>(b)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, the Chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the Chaplain’s conscience.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HFFCA779278474C05AC00A97C11C7A6B0"><enum>(c)</enum><header>United States Navy and Marine Corps</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 6031 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="H793AECEFEAA1404A93B300E2EA001E39"><enum>(d)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, a chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the chaplain’s own conscience.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="HF4082873AC0B40269DE1E735C9B00F3"><enum>(d)</enum><header>United States Air Force</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 8547 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="H78836D1C1BB64BD0A23163A1497522D8"><enum>(c)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, a chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the chaplain’s own conscience.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H89FF46785F604A258CC7E12C317DAA6"><enum>(e)</enum><header>United States Air Force Academy</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 9337 of such title is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H423E7D662DFF4C48924FE1419FC05700" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>(a)</quote> before <quote>There</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H0F81CB4567C9431A9F38A989FAE3B545"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection: </text>
