<section id="H84BB7FDC29EA42759E99B38241E3492C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>United States Parole Commission Extension Act of 2008</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H7B5EB4509AE84933AA64B82372BE79F1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment of Sentencing Reform Act of 1984</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">For purposes of section 235(b) of the Sentencing Reform Act of 1984 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/3551">18 U.S.C. 3551</external-xref> note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/98/473">Public Law 98–473</external-xref>; 98 Stat. 2032), as such section relates to <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/311">chapter 311</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, and the United States Parole Commission, each reference in such section to <quote>21 years</quote> or <quote>21-year period</quote> shall be deemed a reference to <quote>24 years</quote> or <quote>24-year period</quote>, respectively.</text></section>
