		<legis-type>A BILL</legis-type>
		<official-title>To extend through 2013 the authority of the Federal
		  Election Commission to impose civil money penalties on the basis of a schedule
		  of penalties established and published by the Commission.</official-title>

		<section id="H4C7835C1416146D095E0D721E1D84C1F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Extension of Administrative
			 Penalty Authority of Federal Election Commission Through 2013</header>
			<subsection id="H5820FC18032441B4BABC332250C2EC90"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension of
			 Authority</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section
			 309(a)(4)(C) of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971 (2 U.S.C.
			 437g(a)(4)(C)) is amended by adding at the end the following new clause:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H94F5E1B7C30A441EB472DC5C4908CDA9" style="traditional">
					<clause id="H1CD836D32F3D4BA3B1E2BE3B1CA535E0" indent="up3"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>This subparagraph shall apply with
				respect to violations that relate to reporting periods that begin on or after
				January 1, 2000, and that end on or before December 31,
				2013.</text>
					</clause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H0350D7969E4D46BA874DA29ED4080941"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 Amendment</header><text>Section 640 of the Treasury and General Government
			 Appropriations Act, 2000 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/106/58">Public Law 106–58</external-xref>; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/437g">2 U.S.C. 437g</external-xref> note) is amended by
			 striking subsection (c).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H2EB426A6410B4D289EC81D25EC73F312"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 Date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 this section shall take effect as if included in the enactment of the Treasury
			 and General Government Appropriations Act, 2000.</text>
