		<official-title>To amend titles XI and XIX of the Social Security Act to
		  remove the cap on Medicaid payments for Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam,
		  the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1B61899225E147F3AA1DAFFDBD6E34F1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Removal of the cap on
			 Medicaid payments to territories</header>
			<subsection id="H2629133806EF4276B0BB8C326EA5536F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Removal of
			 cap</header>
				<paragraph id="HCFAE7F04C91E4A079FF023D566E06D55"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Section 1108 of the <act-name parsable-cite="SSA">Social
			 Security Act</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1308">42 U.S.C. 1308</external-xref>) is amended by striking subsections (f)
			 and (g).</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H71099651593747478D0965BDCB3563ED"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendments</header>
					<subparagraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBBAB3E2F92024FD6A03FBAB9BAE4DD48"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Section 1902(j) of
			 such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1396a">42 U.S.C. 1396a(j)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>, the limitation in
			 section 1108(f),</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HED580BD2D73840DB8ED41517F9FAE9E4"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Section 1905(u) of
			 such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1396d">42 U.S.C. 1396d(u)</external-xref>) is amended by striking paragraph (4).</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H924F8ED143A04F6EA1A6F200B4E0CABA"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Section 1935(e) of
			 such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1396u">42 U.S.C. 1396u(e)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
						<clause id="H76F7C62189C348348DF6587308FD2EE4"><enum>(i)</enum><text>by
			 amending paragraph (1)(B) to read as follows:</text>
							<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H9BA74CD9B8E74DA6A4D0E95900C54ECC" style="OLC">
								<subparagraph id="H3620A9DC8B08433C83FB61EB488F8C98"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the State may
				establish and submit to the Secretary a plan described in paragraph (2) (for
				providing medical assistance with respect to the provision of prescription
				drugs to part D eligible individuals).</text>
								</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
						</clause><clause id="H1EEE20D2324442AA9B00F1E1D8A4B5C6"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>by
			 striking paragraph (3).</text>
						</clause></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HFED5A8FB0EDF41F1973264A8401B2C5D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the
			 date of the enactment of this Act, and shall apply to expenditures made on or
			 after such date.</text>
