		<official-title display="yes">To amend title 38, United States Code, to
		  extend the period of eligibility for health care for combat service in the
		  Persian Gulf War or future hostilities from two years to five years after
		  discharge or release. </official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB2DF727FC07A41D5A64710196EF73961" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Returning Servicemember VA Healthcare
			 Insurance Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6CB01B06933B4489844D8FE445D5E11B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension of
			 period of eligibility for health care for combat service in the Persian gulf
			 war or future hostilities</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Subparagraph (C) of
			 section
			 1710(e)(3) of title 38, United States Code, is amended to read
			 as follows:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H67D02CD82844491CADC611AD401EFFD4" style="USC">
				<subparagraph id="HB1704FEA048047F58C781EDB1629B5C5" indent="up1"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in
				the case of care for a veteran described in paragraph (1)(D) who—</text>
					<clause id="H7284144DF9D9419E83899623F07DDBD1"><enum>(i)</enum><text>is discharged or released from the
				active military, naval, or air service after the date that is five years before
				the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Returning
				Servicemember VA Healthcare Insurance Act of 2007</short-title>, after a period
				of five years beginning on the date of such discharge or release; or</text>
					</clause><clause id="H109197C7F05B486B8109C68C1E12C481"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">is so discharged or released more than five
				years before the date of the enactment of the <short-title>Returning Servicemember VA Healthcare Insurance Act of
				2007</short-title> and who did not enroll in the patient enrollment system
				under section
				1705 of this title before such date, after a period of three
				years beginning on the date of the enactment of such Act;
				and</text>
					</clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
