In general

Clauses (ii) and (iv) of section 1834(a)(1)(E) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395m(a)(1)(E)) are each amended by striking section 1861(r)(1) and inserting section 1861(r). (b)

Effective date

The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply to face-to-face examinations and prescriptions made on or after January 1, 2009.
