<section id="H2C63653AC1BA47E9B266B800F6670088" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Expansion of individuals qualifying for retroactive benefits from traumatic injury protection coverage under Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance</header> 
<subsection id="H35C102B52E2B478AA813BE3830AB2DA0"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (1) of section 501(b) of the Veterans' Housing Opportunity and Benefits Improvement Act of 2006 (120 Stat. 414; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/1980A">38 U.S.C. 1980A</external-xref> note) is amended by striking <quote>, if, as determined by the Secretary concerned, that loss was a direct result of a traumatic injury incurred in the theater of operations for Operation Enduring Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H36D1757E5C8B4D0EB9E5088675E8C6FC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text>The heading of such section is amended by striking <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">in operation enduring freedom and operation iraqi freedom</header-in-text></quote>.</text></subsection></section>
