		<official-title>To amend the Act entitled <quote><short-title>An Act authorizing associations of producers of aquatic
		  products</short-title></quote> to include persons engaged in the fishery
		  industry as charter boats or recreational fishermen, and for other
		  purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H5621B82D336D41A38E6F78FCDD1CED46" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Charter and Recreational Fishing
			 Collective Marketing Act of 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H13163990CB324A4EB91C89D6B003398D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Charter boats and
			 recreational fishermen</header>
			<subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB1CDD5266ABF4C4F802037C328491BEB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Act entitled
			 <quote><short-title>An Act authorizing associations of
			 producers of aquatic products</short-title></quote>, approved June 25, 1934 (15
			 U.S.C. 521), is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HF0E40852F950491EB4D77F6987F917BD"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the second
			 undesignated paragraph, by inserting <quote>and recreational</quote> after
			 <quote>includes all commercial</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H87A7B703D3A94F0EAAFCBF8C5CE87B13"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 the first undesignated paragraph the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5EC9A6DF7A364B3AB6387F3B59B15560" style="OLC">
						<subsection id="H9A373C4E010F4B2699E54F9DA4E2B7C4"><enum></enum><text>Persons
				engaged in the fishery industry, as charter boat or recreational fishermen
				catching aquatic products, may act together in associations, corporate or
				otherwise, with or without capital stock, in collectively catching, producing,
				and marketing such aquatic products, including implementing a vessel capacity
				reduction program, improving the operational and economic efficiency of a
				fishery, undertaking research, and improving the conservation and management of
				a fishery
				resource.</text>
						</subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H749A637D829042588BCE9F00A8B2F3E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Construction</header><text>Nothing
			 in this section or the amendments made by this section shall be construed to
			 diminish or supersede any authority or provision of the Magnuson-Sevens Fishery
			 Conservation and Management Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1801">16 U.S.C. 1801 et seq.</external-xref>).</text>
