		<official-title>To amend the Missing Children’s Assistance Act to expand
		  the definition of missing child for purposes of that Act.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H34FA1D2C9CDB4DB38E003D67A607F945" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Amendment to the Missing
			 Children’s Assistance Act</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 403(1) of the Missing Children’s
			 Assistance Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/5772">42 U.S.C. 5772(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H4BA47DEBF311464189D8C19DC8136047"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the matter
			 preceding subparagraph (A) by striking <quote>whose whereabouts are unknown to
			 such individual’s legal custodian if</quote>,</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H5F5DBAE80C67465AB2BA556E110088AF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraphs
			 (A), (B), and (C)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="HDD1EFADAD55F4C7BAD1BBC6D0085C3F3"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 such subparagraphs as clauses (i), (ii), and (iii), respectively, and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H77A2657CC74B444A8EDBA16F25C60047"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by indenting the
			 left margin of such subparagraphs 2 ems to the right,</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HB7FAB4C799BC4F2096AD318FBC5300F2"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by inserting
			 before clause (i), as so redesignated, the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H3ABB4F46EF8C45D5ACAF174395D14ECA" style="traditional">
					<subparagraph id="HC6DF0C0424EB41D99CA840C8B8ED9EE9"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">whose whereabouts are unknown to such
				individual’s legal custodian if—</text>
					</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>,
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H604ABDD3B2694F108EFB8EAF418716EC"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4FD22F0093AB4F36B5C97745AE91C26" style="traditional">
					<subparagraph id="H483720D538694F73BD2352761BA51823"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">whose whereabouts are known to such
				individual’s legal custodian from whose control such child—</text>
						<clause id="HC06DC33DE7504BB79CA38F11143D3DCD"><enum>(i)</enum><text>was removed in
				violation of law; or</text>
						</clause><clause id="HE6DE7638CF3F470000713400FE61068E"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>is believed by
				such custodian to have been taken out of the United States without the consent
				of such custodian by, or for the benefit of, an individual who may possibly
				claim custodial rights with respect to such
				child;</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
