		<official-title>To amend the Peace Corps Act to provide continued funding
		  for the Peace Corps, to increase the readjustment allowance for returning Peace
		  Corps volunteers, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HFCDFBB4A8F254F068B3927D28434C5AB" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Peace Corps Reauthorization Act of
			 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H56EBA19F1653445FB5174D0056554256"><enum>2.</enum><header>Funding for the
			 Peace Corps</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3(b)(1) of
			 the Peace Corps Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2502">22 U.S.C. 2502(b)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HDD3524E578AA4D4BA76D775C20E3A2BD"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>and</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H582B0C7D6DAF430099D9DFC208103191"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting
			 before the period at the end the following: <quote>, $400,000,000 for fiscal
			 year 2009, $500,000,000 for fiscal year 2010, $600,000,000 for fiscal year
			 2011, and $700,000,000 for fiscal year 2012</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H544801C11F9349E0AB88D78D03B17066"><enum>3.</enum><header>Readjustment
			 allowance for Peace Corps volunteers</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5(c) of the Peace Corp Act (22
			 U.S.C. 2504(c)) is amended, in the first sentence, by striking
			 <quote>$125</quote> and inserting <quote>$225</quote>.</text>
