		<section id="H5F2023C84A35439E95590973629EA18D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Members of Congress Personal Fiscal
			 Responsibility Act of 2008</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H4C8156365D8F43D293BF5B63743FE718"><enum>2.</enum><header>Elimination of
			 automatic pay adjustment for Members of Congress in
			 <enum-in-header>2009</enum-in-header></header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">For purposes of the provision of law amended
			 by section 704(a)(2)(B) of the Ethics Reform Act of 1989 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/5318">5 U.S.C. 5318</external-xref> note),
			 no adjustment under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/5303">section 5303</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, shall be
			 considered to have taken effect in fiscal year 2009 in the rates of basic pay
			 for the statutory pay systems.</text>
