		<official-title>To direct the Attorney General to provide grants for the
		  implementation of the Sex Offender Registration Tips Program.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H30AF3BD2B0FF4089A74E40C288D691E7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Grants for implementation of
			 Sex Offender Registration Tips Program</header>
			<subsection id="H4F6C635AA9F24BD59FFF6EAA145C7C00"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject to the
			 availability of the funds authorized to be appropriated under subsection (b),
			 the Attorney General shall provide grants to the not-for-profit community and
			 victim’s rights organization, Parents For Megan’s Law, Inc., to implement the
			 Sex Offender Registration Tips Program described in subsection (b).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC3C1F9280D3248B2A891C11688003280"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Sex Offender
			 Registration Tips Program</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For
			 purposes of subsection (a), the Sex Offender Registration Tips Program is a
			 program to reduce sexual victimization by—</text>
				<paragraph id="HECA4BB71E1CB49CDAACC83FFF043453"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">providing up-to-date and accurate sex
			 offender registry information to Federal, State, and local law enforcement
			 entities through the National Megan’s Law Helpline staffed by Parents For
			 Megan’s Law, Inc., and the Internet website of such organization;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H4A82F7D3D6D9482394BD8BE3664637FB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>enabling the
			 analysis and coordination of community tips relating to sex offenders who fail
			 to register in the sex offender registry maintained by the jurisdiction
			 involved or who engage in activities in violation of conditions of their
			 probation or parole; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H73259AC8F25F4B5C00AA78036F58893C"><enum>(3)</enum><text>identifying
			 geographic locations in which sex offenders are identified as being in
			 violation of the sex offender registry requirements of the jurisdiction
			 involved or of the conditions of their probation or parole.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H09846AD094B84B50AFCCA602D1B8DDFC"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of
			 Appropriations</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated $500,000
			 for grants under subsection (a) for each of the fiscal years 2009 through
			 2013.</text>
