		<official-title>To prohibit election officials from requiring an
		  individual to provide a photo identification as a condition for voting in an
		  election for Federal office.</official-title>

		<section id="H23C7E660272C435B83A0FA1F0072A33E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short Title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Voter Access Protection Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H8796549C12A24938B2ED261A91582FA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibiting
			 Election Officials From Requiring Photo Identification as Condition for
			 Voting</header>
			<subsection id="H83EC85B2D6034F7E8C1E6E9F4454BF61"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text>Subtitle A of title III of the Help America Vote Act of
			 2002 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/15481">42 U.S.C. 15481 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after section 303 the
			 following new section:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H37E872FA289B4B48A557EE74E2295300" style="OLC">
					<section id="H8D8EEED5E0B4412EAD6070603BD4EE9F"><enum>303A.</enum><header>Prohibiting
				Election Officials From Requiring Individuals to Provide Photo
				Identification</header>
						<subsection id="H93BEB5E5711947A48D3B9607EB006049"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
				General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An election official
				may not require an individual to provide a photo identification as a condition
				for receiving or casting a ballot in any election for Federal office.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="H8569AEDC25804B359B6380F3824DBA21"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
				Date</header><text>This section shall apply with respect to elections occurring
				after the date of the enactment of the Voter Access Protection Act of
				2007.</text>
						</subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HFA39D63891824D02A7DFAF67E82771A0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 Amendment Relating to Enforcement</header><text>Section 401 of such Act (42
			 U.S.C. 15511) is amended by striking <quote>and 303</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>303, and 303A</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HB57F3F4E28104C11BDD4A26E1693FC26"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Clerical
			 Amendment</header><text>The table of contents of such Act is amended by
			 inserting after the item relating to section 303 the following:</text>

					<toc regeneration="no-regeneration">
						<toc-entry level="section">Sec. 303A. Prohibiting election officials
