		<official-title>To direct the Secretary of Health and Human Services,
		  acting through the Director of the National Institutes of Health, to conduct a
		  survey of research available on methamphetamine addiction and
		  treatment.</official-title>

		<section id="HEA27F8E6F0284A3D9E3569BF5183D8FC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote>Methamphetamine Treatment and Rehabilitation Best Practices Act of
			 2007</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H0400CD01B4C346B798F516DEA896ABC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Survey of research
			 available on methamphetamine addiction and treatment</header>
			<subsection id="H87B0AE04DA8F46F7A121130733C6C142"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Survey</header>
				<paragraph id="HC911BBB1FEE5496292D0BA84BFFCCDED"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting
			 through the Director of the National Institutes of Health, (in this Act
			 referred to as the <quote>Secretary</quote>) shall conduct a survey of research
			 available on methamphetamine addiction and treatment.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HFBA4DE5D1ADE439987FFA11B277917BD"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Focus</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In conducting the survey required by
			 paragraph (1), the Secretary shall focus on reviewing research on the best
			 treatment for methamphetamine addiction, rehabilitation, and recovery.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HC0F85FFAA4D74F43B3B84E89015EBC4C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 6 months after the date of
			 the enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit a report to the Congress
			 on the findings of the survey conducted under subsection (a). Such report shall
			 include recommendations for additional research avenues focusing on
			 methamphetamine addiction and treatment.</text>
