			 workers</header><text>Section 245(a) of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
			 2317(a)) is amended by striking <quote>September 30, 2007</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>December 31, 2007</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC73DB3DFA519411BA1187FEB5711B984"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Assistance for
			 firms</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 256(b) of the
			 Trade Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/2346">19 U.S.C. 2346(b)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after
			 <quote>2007,</quote> the following: <quote>, and $4,000,000 for the 3-month
			 period beginning on October 1, 2007,</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7D08F0EDB9A84EDF946D20B095E416D1"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Assistance for
			 farmers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 298(a) of the
			 Trade Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/2401g">19 U.S.C. 2401g(a)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting before the
			 period the following: <quote>, and there are authorized to be appropriated to
			 the Department of Agriculture to carry out this chapter $22,500,000 for the
			 3-month period beginning on October 1, 2007</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HED91A76451734A4AB6D0A13359C5C046"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Extension of
			 termination dates</header><text>Section 285 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C.
			 2271 note) is amended by striking <quote>September 30</quote> each place it
			 appears and inserting <quote>December 31</quote>.</text>

			 Trade Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/2317">19 U.S.C. 2317(a)</external-xref>) is amended by striking “September 30,
			 2007” and inserting “December 31, 2007”.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7E8D84A0ED8646619D6676B57822DCD1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Assistance for
			 firms</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 256(b) of the
			 Trade Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/2346">19 U.S.C. 2346(b)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting after “2007,” the
			 following: “and $4,000,000 for the 3-month period beginning on October 1,
			 2007,”.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HD5CE629E50DF487AB54EB9190945FC09"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Assistance for
			 farmers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 298(a) of the
			 Trade Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/2401g">19 U.S.C. 2401g(a)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting before the
			 period the following: “, and there are authorized to be appropriated and there
			 are appropriated to the Department of Agriculture to carry out this chapter
			 $9,000,000 for the 3-month period beginning on October 1, 2007”.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HB1BFB3A97B7A43DDA122054794D96B07"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Extension of
			 termination dates</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 285
			 of the Trade Act of 1974 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/2271">19 U.S.C. 2271</external-xref> note) is amended by striking
			 “September 30” each place it appears and inserting “December 31”.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H04F65DA3B4834AB2B3E966B2DC4ECE74"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall be effective as of
			 October 1, 2007.</text>
