<official-title display="yes">To direct the Secretary of the Interior to carry out a study to determine the suitability and feasibility of establishing Camp Hale as a unit of the National Park System.</official-title>

<section id="H5AFB6B7231C24511B91837BBA278F1EA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Camp Hale Study Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H2158FD2E0854423FA2455051EDAA4000"><enum>2.</enum><header>Special resource study of the suitability and feasibility of establishing Camp Hale as a unit of the National Park System</header> 
<subsection id="H14F1AB11A75D414A9338E7F4DB49186"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In General</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the National Park Service, (hereinafter referred to as the <quote>Secretary</quote>) shall complete a special resource study of Camp Hale to determine—</text> 
<paragraph id="H16CF417AED36446AA7115B9653486F39"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the suitability and feasibility of designating Camp Hale as a separate unit of the National Park System; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H0DDAC017F3FC4B6FA42F682E42A29D54"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the methods and means for the protection and interpretation of Camp Hale by the National Park Service, other Federal, State, or local government entities or private or nonprofit organizations.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H379C9B1633F740C0BBCEE517956CBC97"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Study requirements</header><text>The Secretary shall conduct the study in accordance with section 8(c) of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/91/383">Public Law 91–383</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1a">16 U.S.C. 1a–5</external-xref>).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H304F0E57DC60496FBF18C9EEB8145C9"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not later than 3 years after the date on which funds are made available to carry out this Act, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate a report containing—</text> 
<paragraph id="H373B88A9AAB944C3AA47FBEB2205B67"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the results of the study; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4363F7642D0047A9904BFB31B796A9D5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any recommendations of the Secretary.</text></paragraph></subsection></section> 
<section id="H7968D72DEB6642D4987F865D91FAD2F1"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effect of study</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Nothing in this Act shall affect valid existing rights, including—</text> 
<paragraph id="H2F04212E498B4833A5343000E19290B5"><enum>(1)</enum><text>all interstate water compacts in existence on the date of the enactment of this Act (including full development of any apportionment made in accordance with the compacts); </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H31650DEDF1D6488B97DE47E36C37BFCA"><enum>(2)</enum><text>water rights decreed at the Camp Hale site or flowing within, below, or through the Camp Hale site;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HDE510E871D914A10A2C1E07ACC40017"><enum>(3)</enum><text>water rights in the State of Colorado; </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H89B5AFE651204476A2CADC73BE232358"><enum>(4)</enum><text>water rights held by the United States; and </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H8F2EE3AF33074650BBC7093DD7726CB4"><enum>(5)</enum><text>the management and operation of any reservoir, including the storage, management, release, or transportation of water. </text></paragraph></section>
