		<official-title>To amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to require
		  that each State plan for medical assistance under Medicaid provide that the
		  financial participation of the State is 100 percent of the non-Federal share of
		  expenditures under the plan.</official-title>

		<section id="HAC2283EAC92D4529A4DE235C6963B62E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote>Medicaid
			 County Protection Act of 2007</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H56A008143FDA466EBA454D3500E7216D"><enum>2.</enum><header>States required
			 to provide 100 percent of non-Federal share of expenditures under State
			 Medicaid plans</header>
			<subsection id="H4006176CDF404AD49349A520BAF8C000"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Section 1902(a)(2) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C.
			 1396a(a)(2)) is amended by—</text>
				<paragraph id="H05B14F3DD54C401F9CABAF3C3D007BDA"><enum>(1)</enum><text>striking <quote>40
			 per centum</quote> and inserting <quote>100 per centum</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H7599EA5BB14B427DA680C59DB5CD600"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by
			 striking <quote>and, effective July 1, 1969,</quote> and all that follows
			 through the semicolon at the end.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HC15BF1E1B1D44D1C9ECC6CF1974CF314"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall be effective for
			 calendar quarters in State fiscal years beginning more than 90 days after the
			 date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
